Washburn (13 May 1965)

 

The Cannonville Ladies Aid will meet in the Church next Thursday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m.  A lunch will be served following the meeting.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Tullis and son, George, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz, were Wednesday supper guests at the Mrs. Art Odell home.

 

Quite a large crowd attended the Christ Feutz auction Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Krause and daughter, Cheryl of Menomonee Falls, spent Mother’s Day weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krause. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Urban and daughters were Sunday dinner guests at the Stevens home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Tullis and son George, were Thursday supper guests at the Ralph Short home. They spent Friday night with her sister, Mrs. Mayme Gall, in Arpin, then left Saturday for their new home in Waukesha, where they will live with their son, George. George spent last week assisting his parents with preparing for their move.

 

Mrs. Clara Short is spending this week with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Allbaugh.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rutherford of Black River Falls, and Paul Schultz, were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Art Odell.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Feutz of Wisconsin Rapids were Sunday dinner guests of his mother, Mrs. Christ Feutz, and visited Mr. Feutz at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

 

Robert (Bunny) Kuhn of Janesville spent the weekend with his brother, Bernard Kuhn and his family.  Other Sunday visitors at the Kuhn home were their daughters; Judy of Eau Claire, Patsy of Loyal, and Sylvia, who is a practical nurse at Memorial Hospital, and Mrs. Kuhn’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Rodman.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Vandeberg and sons of Wisconsin Rapids visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams, Saturday evening.  Mr. and Mrs. Vandeberg, Mr. and Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Christ Feutz visited Mr. Feutz in Memorial Hospital.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short spent Sunday afternoon, and were supper guests, at the Nick Tepper home in Marshfield.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Laufenberg and family of Alma Center were Sunday guests of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spiegel, and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Don Lindow called at the Mrs. Art Odell home Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and family were Sunday dinner guests at the Mrs. Henry Hubing home.  Her son, Martin Reinart, has been staying with her the past week, helping to care for her.  Mr. and Mrs. Reinart and family visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert Sunday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Poler were Sunday dinner guests at the Oliver Williams home.  Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Vandeberg and sons of Wisconsin Rapids were supper guests there.

 

Mrs. Leland Dopp and daughters, Linda, Judeen and Dixie, called Saturday at the Jack Urban home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Donald Havlicek and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Taylor of Black River Falls had Mother’s Day dinner in Black River Falls.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Trachte and family of Wonewoc spent Saturday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trachte.

 

Jerry Pretsch of Milwaukee is spending a week’s vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pretsch.
