Pleasant Ridge (27 May 1965)

 

Miss Janice Foemmel was honored Saturday afternoon at a bridal shower at the home of Mrs. Francis Haines. Mrs. Haines was assisted by Mrs. Dorothy Schnabel.  Miss Foemmel and Jimmy Mesar are to be married June 12.

 

Mrs. Ernest Vine suffered a concussion in a fall Saturday in her farm yard. She was taken to Memorial Hospital for care.

 

Mr. and Mrs. David Eisentraut were honored at a belated miscellaneous nuptial shower Friday evening in the Legion Hall in Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Eisentraut and two children recently returned from San Pablo, Cal., where David completed three years of duty with the Marines.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eisentraut have moved into their newly remodeled house on the former Lyman Chase farm, which they purchased several months ago. Their son, David, and his family are residing on the Eisentraut farm.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Vine were Sunday dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morrison of rural Granton.

 

Leo and Charles Korth and their sister, Mrs. Frank Knoop, left Monday noon for Lake Mills, where on Tuesday they attended funeral services of a cousin, Arthur Korth.

 

Karen Olson of Richland Center was a weekend house guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Korth.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Bills spent the weekend in the Madison area visiting relatives.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Babka and children, and Miss Kathy Hubing, all of Black River Falls, spent the weekend with Mrs. Babka’s father, Arthur Hubing.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper of Cecil, who are visiting relatives in the area, and Mrs. Ella Magnuson visited Monday with relatives in La Crosse.

 

Earl Magnuson and son, Greg, spent the weekend fishing on Yellow Lake.

 

Dinner and supper guests Sunday of Elsie Wolf were Miss Hilda Kurth and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hantke of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper of Cecil; Ella Magnuson, Genevieve Hantke and Polly.
