Loos, Jane Ellen (Miss Wis. R E - 1965)

The "home area" folks will have an opportunity to see Jane Ellen Loos of Colby in her official role as Miss Wisconsin Rural Electrification on Sunday, June 6.  She’ll be in Abbotsford for the parade and celebration climaxing the Abbotsford Dairy Days program, June 3 to 6.

The 19-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Loos of Coby was chosen official hostess for the state’s rural electric cooperatives at Madison March 23.  In her role she makes numerous personal and speaking appearances around Wisconsin. Her Abbotsford appearance will mark the start of a busy schedule.

On June 8 she will participate in the annual meeting of the Clark Electric Cooperative at Greenwood. The Clark system sponsored Miss Loos in the statewide finals at Madison. She will also crown her successor as Miss Clark Rural Electrification and the new selection will participate in the 1966 state contest at Milwaukee.

On June 20, Miss Wisconsin RE will appear at Barron for that community’s giant Bonanza Days celebration, and will return to the area July 5 for the Aquafest celebration at Rice Lake.

Miss Loos’ Abbotsford appearance will be in behalf of Wisconsin’s 29 rural electric co-ops.
