Fritz, Ginger (1 SEP 1963)

 

Given in Marriage by her father, Miss ginger Mae Fritz became the bride of John Wayne Pitman at the United Church of Christ in Owen on Saturday, Sept. 1, 1963.  The ceremony was performed at an 8:00 o’clock service in the evening.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Fritz and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Pitman of Aztec, N.M>

 

The bride was attired in a white floor length gown of Chantilly lace and a silk faced organzine.  Her scalloped Sabrina neckline was trimmed with sequins onto a fitted bodice which featured long tapered sleeves.  The bouffant skirt was lace trimmed.  Her peaked crown with pearls held the bouffant lace veil and she carried a bouquet of yellow roses, white garnettes in cascade shape.

 

Carole Wirtala was the maid of honor, with Donna Fritz, her sister, a bridesmaid.  Their gowns were gold peau de soi sheaths which featured an overskirt with matching shoes and short veils held to their gold hats which were pearl trimmed.  They carried yellow roses and gold bronze mums.

 

Mike Fritz, the bride’s three-year-old sister, was flower girl, wearing a floor length gown of gold peau de soi.

 

Attending the groom was Ross Fritz, the bride’s brother, as best man, and Robert Bakke, a cousin, was groomsman.  Both the groom and his attendants wore dark suits.

 

A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.  The bride’s theme of yellow and white was carried out by the centerpiece of flowers and on the tables.  The wedding cake, three tiered, was decorated with yellow roses and tiny tiny doves.

 

Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Allan Fritz of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Shilts of Marshfield; Mrs. Reva Hansen of Mosinee; Beverly Smith of Eau Claire; Mrs. Gaues Grossnickle of Batavia, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Paulson of Balsam Lake,; Mr. and Mrs. Randall Jablonic of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Chappell, Linda and Gene, of Alamosa, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Pitman of Aztec, N.M., and Brian Scott and Judy Kivikko of Madison.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and attended the Wis. State College at La Crosse and Adams State College at Alamosa, Colo.

 

The groom is a graduate of the Aztec, N.M. High School and graduated from the Adams State College in May of ’63.  He is employed by the El Passo Gas Co. at Aztec, N.M.

 

The newlyweds are making their home in Farmington, N.M.
