FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. ZIMMERMAN

 

Mrs. Emma Zimmerman of town of Unity died at the Memorial hospital in Wausau on Wednesday morning, November 27, 1940 at 6:30, following an operation for gall stones where she had been taken but three weeks before

 

Emma Baum was born on Feb. 9, 1882, in Beachwood, and was married on May 3, 1904, in Fond du Lac to Ethan Zimmerman, who passed away on June 15, 1940.  They had lived in Dorchester where the husband had been pastor a number of years in the Evangelical church.  Later on they purchased a farm in the town of Unity where they had lived the past 36 years, and where they raised a fine family of six children who still survive:  Armin, of the home farm; Ethan Jr. and Emanuel, town of Unity; Samuel, Riplinger, and Laura at home; two sisters, Mrs. Louisa Wood, Kenosha; Mrs. August Schuette, Cascade, and one brother, George Baum, Halstead, Kansas.

 

Deceased was a good Christian and kind mother.  She was a member of Salem Evangelical church, Dorchester.  Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Unity on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, conducted by Rev. R. H. Browe, pastor of Salem Evangelical church, Dorchester, with interment in the town of Beaver cemetery.
