Lavin, Ida (1877? - SEP 1963)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Lavin, 86, town of Holway (Taylor Co., Wis.), were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Holway Lutheran Church.  The Rev. Roger Tellock conducted the services with burial being made in the church cemetery.

 

The former Ida Neitzel was born in the town of Hoard, Clark County, and received her education in Clark County.  She was married to Thomas Lavin on May 27, 1903 at Neillsville and after her marriage moved to a farm in the town of Holway which had since been her home.

 

She is survived by four sons, Edward and Francis, both of the town of Holway, Clarence, Butternut, Arnold, Owen, and two daughters, Mrs. Anton (Eda) Homalka, Racine, and Mrs. Harry (Helen) Babcock, Sussex.  Other survivors are 27 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Three sons and 11 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
