Lavrenz, Erna (21 MAY 1895 - 14 JAN 1941)

 

 

MRS. ERNA LAVRENZ

 

Died at her home in the town of Brighton, Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1941, aged 45 years, after having been an invalid for nearly two years.  Mrs. Lavrenz was born May 21, 1895, at Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. von Stojentin who later moved to Chicago.  While visiting relatives here she met Albert Lavrenz and on March 6, 1915, they were united in marriage at Chicago, and afterward moving to the Lavrenz farm in the town of Brighton which has since been her home.  To this union one son was born, Albert Lavrenz, Jr., who with his father Albert, Sr., her mother, Mrs. G. von Stojentin and one brother, Paul of Chicago are let to mourn her demise.  In her life Mrs. Lavrenz was a member of Zion Lutheran church and the Auxiliary of the American Legion.

 

The funeral services were held Friday at the Lulloff Funeral home and Zion Lutheran church, Colby, the Rev. O. H. Hoffmann officiating.  Interment at the Colby cemetery, attended by the ladies of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a large number of friends.
