MARIE I. WEHLING AND RAYMOND ERTL MARRIED

On Saturday afternoon, June 7, at 2 o’clock, Raymond F. Ertl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ertl, Spencer, took as his bride Miss Marie I. Wehling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wehling of Loyal.  The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. J. C. Langholz at Trinity Lutheran church in Loyal.  For her wedding the bride chose a gown of exquisite marquisette designed with long puffed sleeves, a lace bodice and a long train.  She carried a bouquet of roses and babies’ breath.  She wore a long white veil edged in lace and held in place by a pearl coronet headdress.  Miss Esther Ertl, sister of the groom attended as maid of honor.  She was attired in a floor length gown of yellow organza and shoulder veil to match.  She wore a shoulder corsage of mixed flowers.  Bridesmaids were Ruth Lindekugel, Virginia Dobbe, and Rachel Williamson.  They were dressed in gowns of blue, peach and green respectively.  They wore shoulder veils to correspond with their dresses.  They wore shoulder corsages of mixed flowers.

Arnold Ertl, brother of the groom, was best man; Rueben Litka, Joe Brayer, and Norman Luchterhand attended as groomsmen.  The groom and his attendants wore suits of blue and green, with boutonnieres of white carnations.  A reception for 120 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and a wedding dance at Weidenhoft’s pavilion in the evening.  Later on in the summer Mr. Ertl and his bride are going on a wedding trip which will take them through western Wisconsin.  At present they are at home to their many friends on the bride’s parents’ fare near Loyal.
