Keith Hanley heard the vows at the candlelight service for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanford of Black River Falls and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ransom of Merrillan.

The bride carried a cascade of white and misted powder blue carnations with stephanotis and ivy accents. Attending her, carrying colonial bouquets of feathered white and powder blue carnations, were Patty Hagen of Rockford, maid-of-honor; Jo Ann Hill of Glenwood City and Barbara Valleskey of Manitowoc, as bridesmaids.  Miss Darvi Sanford, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Kathryn Cole, organist, and Betty Larson, vocalist.  Their selections were, "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Song of Ruth".

Two hundred and fifty guests were received in the parish hall, where Mrs. Arthur Upton, an aunt of the bride, cut the wedding cake made by Mrs. George Severson. Mrs. Allen Upton and Mrs. Gavin Upton served the ice cream.  Janet Larkin and Kathleen Kubik were in charge of the coffee service.  Barbara Larson, Judy Nortman and Annette Engum opened the gifts.

The bride’s table was served by Nancy Brown and Joan Fiebrink.  Carol Casper was in charge of the guest book.  Punch was served by Mary Jean Northup and Terri McDonel.

The Ransoms are at home at 1609 West Clairmont Avenue, Box 8, at Eau Claire. Both are continuing as students at Eau Claire State University.
