Schuman, Mark F. (1 April 1889 - September 1965)

 

Funeral services for Mark F. Schuman, 76, of Watertown, S. D., and Lake Alfred, Fla., were held September 29, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Edward Hartung officiated. Burial was made in Forest Hill Cemetery at Braun Settlement.

 

Pallbearers were: Leroy Wadzinski, Darrel, Gerald, Lloyd, Donald and Herbert Horn.

 

People from away who attended were: Mrs. Mark Schuman, of Watertown, S. D.; Mrs. Olga Eich, Fred Burghard, Mr. and Mrs. John Schaefer and Mrs. Lorena Owens of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Al Resech of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Horn and family of Barrington, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Wadzinski of Junction City; and many relatives and friends from the Willard and Greenwood area.

 

Mr. Schuman was born April 1, 1889, in Momence, Ill.  He was married to the former Dora Horn of Greenwood on October 1, 1919 at St. Paul, Minn. After their marriage the Schumans operated a farm at Onake, S. D., and when they retired they moved to Watertown. They spent their summers there and the winter months at their home in Lake Alfred, Fla.

 

Survivors besides his wife are two sisters, Mrs. Olga Eich and Mrs. Emma Meyers, both of Chicago, Ill.
