Greenwood Locals (23 December 1965)

 

Julie Ann Gruber, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Gruber of Milwaukee, was baptized by the Rev. Orval Egbert during the Sunday morning worship service at Immanuel United Church. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Irvine of Greenwood.

 

Wayne Richmond, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Richmond, was admitted Sunday to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville with virus pneumonia.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Anderegg are the parents of a daughter, Theresa Gaye, born December 20, at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. The new baby joins three sisters and one brother.  Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Anderegg of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denk of Loyal; great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnson of Christie.

 

Mrs. Irvin Carl left Monday to spend several days with her sons, Harland and DuWayne Carl, and their families in Neenah.

 

Forest Queen Royal Neighbor Camp will have installation of officers at the meeting to be held January 3 in the Legion Hall.  Mrs. Alice Perkins will be the installing officer and Miss Louise Keiner ceremonial marshal.  Fifty-cent gifts will be exchanged and a potluck lunch will be served.

 

The Women’s Guild will meet January 5, in Immanuel United Church. New officers will be installed.  Hostesses will be Mrs. Arno Miller and Mrs. Olga Reineking.

 

The Greenwood Order of Eastern Star installation of officers will be held in the Masonic Hall Tuesday evening, January 11.

 

The 86th birthday of Mrs. Antonia Yaniga was observed Tuesday at the Clark County Home for the aged, where she is a resident.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Peterson went to Minneapolis Friday to meet their son, Jerry, and Warren Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Einar Jackson, who had flown in from Anchorage, Alaska to spend the holidays here. The young men have been employed in Anchorage since March.
