Smith, June K. (11 JUN 1960)

St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Gilman was the scene of a wedding ceremony Saturday morning, June 11, 1960 at 10 o’clock during which Miss June Karen Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Smith, route 1, Unity, became the bride of Richard B. Przybylski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Przybylski, route 1, Gilman.  The rev. John Dzurko officiated at the wedding ceremony and the nuptial High Mass.

When the bride was escorted into church by her father she was wearing a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle styled with long sleeves, Sabrina neckline outlined with sequins and full skirt with inserts of lace.   A crown-type headpiece held the imported fingertip veil of French illusion and the bride carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and lily of the valley.

Mrs. Frank Pawlukiewicz, Owen, was matron of honor and Miss Sharon Smith of Unity, Miss Judith Hamm of Curtiss and Miss Marlene Taylor, Dorchester, were bridesmaids.

All wore pink ballerina length gowns of nylon velveray over taffeta.  They were sleeveless with high necklines and full skirts, and accented with cummerbunds.  Each had a matching headpiece and carried nosegays of pink and white carnations.

Frank Pawlukiewicz, Owen, was best man, and also attending the groom were Leonard Przybylski, Gilman, Frank Andruszkiewicz, Milwaukee, and Walter Pietzen, Owen.

A wedding reception and dinner were held at the Quonset Hall, Thorp, and the cane took place at the Dorchester Memorial hall.

The bride attended Colby High School and the groom was educated at Gilman.  He is employed as a milk hauler.  The Przybylskis will reside at Gilman.
