Wald, Nancy Lee (25 JUN 1960)

 

On Saturday, June 25, 1960, Miss Nancy Lee Wald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wald, Stanley, became the bride of Wayne Henry Haas, son of Robert Haas of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).  The Rev. Herbert Hoffman performed the double ring ceremony at 9:30 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here.

 

Imported Chantilly lace and tulle styled the bride’s floor length gown made with a scalloped sweetheart neckline and long lace sleeves.  Alternate rows of lace and tulle detailed the skirt front.  A tiara of sequins and pearls held her veil of illusion.  Her colonial bouquet was of red roses and white carnations.

 

Mrs. Arnold Haas, Sheboygan, was matron of honor and Miss Roberta Wald, sister of the bride, and Miss Marcie Geottl, friend of the bride, were bridesmaids.  Their street length dresses of lace over taffeta with pink, blue and yellow, respectively.  Their colonial bouquets were of white carnations and carnations to match their gowns. 

 

Flower girl was Pamela Mallo of Hannibal.  Her floor length dress of tulle over taffeta had puffed sleeves.  She wore a matching braid band with blush veil and white carnations.

 

Arnold Haas, brother of the groom, was best man.  Other attendants to the groom were Leonard Slowiak and Dennis Haas.  Ushers were Richard Haas and William Wald.  Ring bearer was Marvin Haas.

 

A wedding dinner for 200 guests was served at 11:30 a.m.  The reception in the Legion Hall from 2 to 5 p.m. was attended by 400 guests.

 

The couple will live at 214 N. Franklin St., Stanley.  The groom is employed as a cheesemaker.
