Wedding Bells Kept Busy On Saturday

WERNER-WILLNER

Miss Jeanette J. Willner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Willner of Spencer, and James Werner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Werner of Marshfield, were united in marriage in a ceremony performed at Christ the King Catholic church in Spencer at a Nuptial Mass celebrated at 9:00 o’clock Saturday morning, October 11, with Rev. Joseph Graf, pastor of the church, the celebrant.

The bride was gowned in a long white satin dress, in coat effect, with a long train, her veil was composed of lace scallops and bows inserted and the headdress was of seed pearls and rhinestones.  Mrs. Ralph Rogers, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and was gowned in white taffeta with long sleeves and shirred square neck.  The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses and chrysanthemums while the maid of honor wore a shoulder corsage.  Margaret Cramer was the bridesmaid and was gowned in white taffeta with a gold cross as the ornament.  The bride and maid of honor also wore gold crosses.  Harry Werner, a brother of the groom was best man while Lester Willner, brother of the bride was also an attendant.

Kenneth Schmitt, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer and was dressed in a dark navy blue suit with a white satin shirt.  He carried a white taffeta pillow with the rings on same.  Kathleen Koehler, a niece of the bride, was flower girl and was dressed the same as the bridesmaid.  She carried a colonial bouquet.  The bride was accompanied to the altar by her father, where she was given in marriage.

Dinner and supper were served in the parlors of the church to a large number of relatives and friends.  Mrs. Werner is a graduate of Colby high school in 1940 and the groom is a graduate of the Sacred Heart school, Marshfield.  He is employed at the Weinbrenner Shoe factory in Marshfield, where the bride was employed before her marriage.  They will make their home in that city.
