 Froeba, Herbert Emil  (05 DEC 1930 - 13 MAR 1998)

Herbert E. Froeba, age 67, of Loyal, died at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, in Marshfield, on Friday, March 13, 1998 at 9:55 p.m.  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 1998 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.  Rev. Roma Kaiser officiated and burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.  Military rites were conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post #175.  Visitation was held on Sunday, March 15, 1998 at Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal, from 4-8 p.m.  There was a 7 p.m. prayer service.  Pallbearers were Jim Froeba, Tim Froeba, Doug Nacker, Kevin Froeba, Jesse Clintsman and Dave Clintsman, Jr.

Herbert Emil Froeba was born on Dec 5, 1930 in the Town of Loyal to Clarence and Loretta (nee Bauer) Froeba.  He was raised on the family farm and attended the Mack country school south of Loyal.  Upon completion of his schooling he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea from 1951 to 1953.  After his discharge, he returned to Loyal and married Diana Clouse on Nov. 22, 1958 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.  He worked as a truck driver all of his life and retired in 1993 after being employed for 21 years with Sternweis and Sons, Inc. in Marshfield.  Herb enjoyed fishing and tinkering, especially with lawn mowers and tractors.  He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Loyal American Legion Post #175.

He is survived by his wife, Diana, of Loyal; three daughters; Sue (Jim) Jacobson of Loyal, Sherry (Dave) Clintsman of Loyal, and Stacey Froeba of Marshfield;  two sons; Ray (Tina) Froeba of Wisconsin Rapids and Bob (Joann) Froeba of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren; Brandon and Tyler Jacobson; Westley, Charley, Doug, Brooke, Dezerae and Danzie Froeba; Dave Jr., Jesse, Angie and Andrea Clintsman; two brothers; Tom (Donna) Froeba of Colby, Ronald (Kathy) Froeba of Loyal; five sisters; Vi (Alfred) Uhlig of Abbotsford, Kitty (Ronald "Stub") Grambort of Abbotsford, Marceil (Lynne) Russell of Spencer, Nancy (Jim) Steinbach of Loyal, and Sandy (Jerry) Noeldner of Loyal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Raymond Froeba and a sister Evelyn Froeba.
