June E. Kaddatz, 85, of Wisconsin Rapids died Saturday, April 7, 20112, at Our House Assisted Living.

June was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Granton to the late Raymond and Leona (Garbisch) Sternitzky. She grew up on the gamily farm in the township of Lynn with her brothers, Wayne and Vernon.

She married Raymond Kaddatz Nov. 15, 1947, in Granton. They lived in Neillsville, Marshfield and then in Wisconsin Rapids, where they raised their four children, Terry, Gary, Randy and Sheri.  June also worked at West Grand IGA, beginning in the bakery and retired from Copps Corporation as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  In retirement she enjoyed spending long hours in her beautiful flower garden and spending time with her family.

June will be remembered as an energetic people-person who loved working in her flower gardens.  She was a devoted wife and mother who brought great joy to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

June is survived by her two sons, Terry (Gerie) of Plover and Randy (Carrie) of Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter, Sheri of Woodbury, MN; four grandchildren, Kara, Dana (Brandon), Meaghan and Jessica; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary and husband Raymond.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. James Douglas will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and at the church Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.

A special thank you is extended from the family to the staff at our House Assisted Living for their compassionate and loving care of June.
