Fred W. Draper, 94, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 1962, at the Will-O-Haven Nursing Home, Greensboro, N.C., where he had been a patient since February.

Mr. Draper was born July 22, 1868 in Dundee, Fond du Lac County. In 1872 he moved with his parents to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), where he spent the major portion of his life. On March 23, 1893 he was married to Amy Kayhart of Christie, who preceded him in death in 1945. Their one daughter, Bernice E. Draper, who lives in Greensboro, N.C., and their foster son, Harold Hills of Loyal, survive him.

Educated in the Loyal Public Schools and at the Oshkosh Normal, Mr. Draper taught for many years in the schools of Clark County. He entered politics in 1900 and served for ten years as Clerk of Court in Clark County. He also represented the county in the Wis. State Legislature from 1910 until 1912.

In 1911 he returned with his family to Loyal, where he made his home until Mrs. Draper's death. Since 1945 he has resided with his daughter in Greensboro.

Mr. Draper was active in civic and religious affairs in Neillsville during his years of residence there. In Loyal he continued to be an active layman in the Methodist Church, a justice of the peace, member of the school board, and director of Citizens State Bank. He had been a Mason since 1902 and was a charter member of the Loyal Lodge No. 335.

Funeral services were held in Greensboro on Sept. 3, at 4 o'clock. The body was then sent to Loyal, where Masonic rites were conducted at two o'clock Sept. 5 at the Myre Funeral Home. Interment was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

McKean, Tomah; Miss Gladys Wage, Miss Dora Wage, Miss Pearl Beeckler, Granton; Mrs. Henry Laffe, Humbird; Mrs. Emma Johnson, Sebeka, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. J. Heath Mills, Marshfield; Mrs. Lida Meyer, Miss Joie Bass, Mrs. Charles Neff, Sr., Mrs. Blanche Zimmerman, Mrs. Edna Ketel, Jess Scott, Mrs. Genevieve Handke, Neillsville' Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Roessler, Thorp.
