JEAN CAROL HORN DIES ON MARCH 12


Funeral Service for Greenwood Girl to Be Held on Saturday.


GREENWOOD--Jean Carol Horn, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Horn, who reside 10 miles northwest of Greenwood.


She had undergone a serious operation at a Madison hospital in November and had been ill at home since that time.


Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, March 15, at 1:30 o'clock at the Horn home and at the Salem Reformed Church in Braun Settlement at 2 o'clock. The Rev. B. M. Fresenborg, Greenwood, will officiate and burial will be made in the Braun Settlement cemetery.


The body will rest at the Stabnow Funeral Home until tonight, when it will be taken to the Horn home.


Jean Carol Horn was born in Greenwood, March 31, 1936. She was a member of the Salem Reformed Sunday School and a student in the fifth grade of the Braun Settlement School. She was also a member of the Braun Settlement 4-H Club.


She is survived by her parents and one brother, Darrell, at home, and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rose Haase, Greenwood.


Cousins of Jean Carol will act as Pallbearers and they will also have charge of the flowers.


HORN FUNERAL.


GREENWOOD--Funeral rites were held Saturday afternoon for Jean Carol Horn, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Horn, 10 miles northwest of Greenwood, who died Wednesday afternoon, March 12, at her parents' home. The child had been ill since an operation last November.


The Rev. B. M. Fresenborg had charge of the 1:30 o'clock service at the Horn home and of the 2 o'clock service at Salem Reformed Church in Braun Settlement. Interment took place in Braun Settlement cemetery.


Six cousins, Duane, Gerald, Donald, Lloyd, Norman, and Herbert Horn served as pallbearers and flowers were carried by Darlene, Nadine, and Corrine Horn, June Braun, Elaine Seibold, and Jean Wells.


During the services the three Marking sisters of Owen, Eunice, Bonnie, and Harriet, sang and played the organ accompaniment for "Asleep in Jesus," "Sometime We'll Understand," and "My Jesus, I Love Thee."


Out-of-town people at the rites included Mrs. M. S. Schumann, Watertown, SD Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Horn and daughters, Corrine and Nadine, Owen Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Stanke and daughter, Judy.
