OBITUARY OF LANTY MCCONNELL

Lanty McConnell was born November 22, 1871 in Calwell County, Missouri. In 1877 they moved to Clark County, Wis., where he resided until his death. His father died in 1891 and since then he has lived on the home farm taking care of his mother and crippled brother.

He passed away Sunday afternoon, March 7, 1926, leaving a mother, 3 sisters and 3 brothers to mourn his death. The brothers, George, James and Robert and one sister, Elizabeth Christie live in the vicinity of Greenwood. One sister, Mrs. Farning lives in Tacoma, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. Fred Brown lives in Glen Flora, Wis.

 
Mrs. Brown and son arrived Saturday in time to see her brother alive.

The funeral was held Wednesday, March 10th. A short service was held at the home and the body was then taken to the local Methodist Church where services were conducted by Rev. T. O. Thompson.

 
The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The deceased was well and favorably known by many, and his sudden death is a great loss to his immediate relatives and friends. He was loving and kind to his mother and crippled brother, who will greatly miss his sudden departure.
