Obituary--Nelson, Carl I. ( 1941)


Funeral of Mr. Nelson


Funeral services for Carl I. Nelson, 621 1 - 2 Ellis Street, who was instantly killed Friday when the car in which he was riding struck, a bridge abutment near the Iron-Vilas county line, were held Monday afternoon. The services were held at 1:30 o'clock at the Seehafer-Hansen funeral home and burial followed in a Unity cemetery.


The pallbearers were a brother-in-law, Franklin Graham, and five nephews, Lester, Russell, Robert and Ray Binning and Sidney Lee.


Those from Stevens Point who attended the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Anderson, Mrs. Raymond Falk, Miss Emily Emling, Mrs. John Medlyn, Mrs. Bert Halstead, Mrs. Clarence E. Rouse, Mrs. Ezra White, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Moreau, Dr. T.J. Dubinski, Miss Marjorie Smith, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Menzel and Mrs. Blaine D. Carlton. Mr. Nelson's mother, Mrs. Christ Nelson of Unity, and his brothers and sisters were present for the services.
