ALEXANDER POZNANSKI


Alexander Ted Poznanski, 84, Greenwood, Clark County, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 1995, at his home.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Robert Olson officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Pallbearers were Bob Mosely, Tom Shakal, Gary Glenzer, Ron LaMarche, James Lindner and Francis Kohnhofer. Honorary pallbearers were Jake Barr and Tony Rychnovsky.


Alexander Poznanski was born on July 1, 1911, in Milwaukee, to Ignac and Mary Poznanski.


He received his education in Milwaukee. He married Ruth Kibbel on Oct. 18, 1933. He worked for L. G. Arnold Company putting up power lines all around the United States. He then worked for Mater Package in Owen from 1940-41. In 1941, he moved to Greenwood and worked for Clark Electric until retiring in July 1977. He resided in Greenwood until the time of his death. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.


Survivors include one daughter, Delores (Hammy) Brey, Greenwood four grandchildren, Laura (John) Garner, Owen Marsha (Ray) Leonard, Stevens Point Mark (Beverly) Brey, Greenwood and Kim (Roger) Ehlers, Greenwood two brothers, Paul Poznanski, Sioux City, Iowa and Louis Poznanski, Yakima, Wash. and one sister, Gertrude Schigur, Milwaukee.


He was preceded in death by his wife, on Sept. 21, 1981 his parents three sisters and seven brothers.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
