William H. WHEELER

Hardly had the community of Christie recovered from the first shock of the death of Daniel Atkins, when it was again startled to learn of the death of another of its prominent citizens, Mr. William H. Wheeler, who passed away on the same day, Monday, April 25, 1910 at four o'clock in the afternoon, of heart failure.

Had Mr. Wheeler lived until today he would have been 76 years of age. He was a native of Ft. Edward, N.Y., and came to Clark County about 22 years ago, and while he had only been a resident of Christie four or five years, he had the respect and esteem of all with whom he came in contact. He was a home loving, God fearing man, whose heart and soul was centered in his home and children.

Beside a loving wife, who is also feeble in health, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Asa Duell of Greenwood and Mrs. Cora Lamb of Ft. Edward, N.Y., and two sons, Frank of Christie and Carl of Warrenburg, N.Y., and a host of friends to mourn his death. Funeral services were held from the Christie Church at ten o'clock yesterday morning, conducted by the Rev. W. E. Marsh of Greenwood. The remains were laid to rest in the Christie Cemetery.
