Horn, Dale (12 Jul 1921 - 14 Jun 2002)


GREENWOOD - Dale William Herbert Horn, age 80, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at his home in the town of Eaton, rural Greenwood, Clark County, where he lived his entire life.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood with Rev. Michael Kennedy officiating. Interment was in Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Horn, Donald Carlson, Bernie Danielson, Gerald Peterson, Butch Roteik and Richard Hingess.

Dale Horn was born on July 12, 1921, to John P. and Caroline W. (nee Meyer) Horn in the town of Eaton, rural Greenwood. He received his education at Eaton Center School and Greenwood High School. He was married to Adel O. Johnson on July 14, 1945, at Zion United Church of Christ in Greenwood. Dale and Adel farmed in the town of Eaton for many years. Among Dale's hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. He also enjoyed transporting the Amish families to Marshfield and Granton.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Adel Horn of Greenwood children, Amanda (Richard) Marco of Onalaska, Bonnie Schielzeth of Stoughton, Randy Horn of Greenwood, Myra (Ned) Johnson of Monfort, Wanda (Michael) Nusberger of Wheeler and Delmond Horn of Chippewa Falls. Dale was the loving grandfather of Leann (Robert) Meyer, Greg (Dana) Marco, Jeff (Jennifer) Marco, Joel and Aleena Schielzeth, Carrie, Kristy and Liza Horn, Joshua, Caleb and Alicia Johnson, Kimberly Nicole and Brian Nusberger. Dale was also the loving Papa of great-grandchildren, Tasha, Jordan, Benjamin and Hunter. He is further survived by his sister, Ann Peterson of Marengo, Ill. many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents one brother in infancy his brother, Raymond sisters, Eleanor, Theresa and Edna and grandchildren, Erik, Penny and Jason.
