McCaffery, Jeanette (28 OCT 1889 - 18 OCT 1960)   Miss 
Jeanette McCaffery, a resident of Superior, died Tuesday evening at St. Mary’s 
Hospital in that city.   Miss 
McCaffery was born in Clark County, Wisconsin on Oct. 28, 1889, the daughter of 
the late Michael and Ann McCaffery.  She graduated from the Stanley High School 
in 1907, and taught in rural schools in the Stanley area for 17 years, then at 
the Indian Reservation near Shawano, Wis.  She also did practice nursing in 
Chippewa Falls and Dubuque, Ia., and was employed as a clerk in a Thorp (Clark 
Co.) store.  In 1952 she moved to Superior.   
Surviving are two brothers, William of Superior, Wis., and Phillip of Fulton, 
Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Ehlert, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Charles (Dorcus) 
Schuebel, Stanley.  She was preceded in death by one sister.   
Funeral services were held Friday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church in Stanley, with Father Georges Mathieu officiating.  Interment was in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
