Heiman, Andrew (22 FEB 1888 - 22 OCT 1960)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning, Oct. 25 at nine a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, for Andrew C. Heiman, 72, who died Oct. 22, 1960 of a heart condition at Stanley Hospital.  The Rev. Hebert Hoffman and Rev. Michael Mertens officiated and burial was made in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Thorp.

 

Mr. Heiman, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 22, 1888 in Charlestown, Wis.  He married Edith S. Benzschawel May 21, 1918 at St. Bernard’s Church, Thorp.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society and Catholic Family Protection Association.

 

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Raymond and Leonard of Milwaukee, Elmer, Thorp; two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Ella) Hubbard, Mrs. Francis (Lenore) Giwojna, both of Thorp; two brothers, Frank Heiman, New Holstein, Aloysius Heiman, Chilton; five sisters Mrs. Margaret Mueller, Mrs. Agnes Woelfel, both of Chilton, Mrs. Katherine Mertens, Mrs. Regina Maier, both of Thorp, Mrs. Clara Groeschel, Fond du Lac, and twelve grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

 

Pallbearers were: John Maier, Leo Dulek, Ray Baldeschwiler, Arthur Soderberg Jr., Clarence Ruff and Eugene Wilhelm, Sr.

 

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Heiman and family and Leonard Heiman, Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph Mueller and Mr. Aloysius Heiman, Chilton, Mrs. Christine Heiman and Mr. Tony Nisler, New Holstein, Mr. Peter Benzschawel, Madison, and Mr. Otto Schoenberger, St. Paul, Minn.
