Milton MacPherson, who suffered a terrible ax cut in his left knee some two weeks ago, when his fellow wood cutter accidentally struck him instead of the tree, after a week’s stay here at the Eagle Hotel under the doctor’s care and his mother always beside him, had infection set in last Saturday, necessitating his being removed to Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire.  His mother accompanied him and it is to be hoped he may get the help there necessary to save the limb from amputation.  Milton is a member of Co.
