Gall, Edward (21 April 1875 - 5 May 1966)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Edward Gall, 91, of Neillsville Memorial Home, who died Wednesday, May 5.  The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Gall was born April 21, 1875, in Cedarburg, the son of the late Joseph and Emelia (Weber) Gall. He came with his parents to Clark County, where the family located on a farm in the Globe community. As a young man he worked in the paper mill in Park Falls. On returning to Neillsville he was employed at the Neillsville Milk Products co-operative until his retirement.

 

His marriage to the former Martha Scheel, took place January 5, 1905, in Neillsville.  Mrs. Gall died in 1946.  Mr. Gall, a member of the United Church of Christ, had been a resident in Memorial Home since March, 1964.

 

He is survived by three sons, Irving of Owen, Alex and Donald, both of Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gault of Neillsville and Mrs. Clara Crocker of Wausau; two brothers, Alvin of Janesville and William of Dorchester; and by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were: Art Paulson, Claude Westphal, Oscar DeMert, August Janke, Arthur Carl and Henry Wasserburger.

 

Mrs. Glenn Lezotte and Linda Lezotte sang, "Softly and Tenderly" and "In the Garden," accompanied by Mrs. Jas. A. Musil.

 

People from out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Gall of Janesville, Mrs. Clara Crocker and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gault of Wausau, George Ziegler and William Gall of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Prock and family of Bettendorf, Ia.
