Warren, Zayda (19 July 1889 - 17 June 1966)

 

Mrs. Otto J. Warren of Neillsville died Friday at her home following an illness of several years.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, of which she was a member.  The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Warren, the former Zayda Newell, was born July 19, 1889, in Dundee, Ill.  Her parents were the late Emory and Adele (Stage) Newell. She attended schools in Illinois and Wisconsin, and came to Clark County with her parents.  On July 30, 1908, she was married to Otto J. Warren in Trevor. They farmed in the towns of Pine Valley and York, moving to Neillsville in 1952.

 

Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Rex (Ruth) Beach, of Stillwater, Minn.; a son, Neil, of Lynwood, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

 

"What a Friend we have in Jesus" and "Lead Kindly Light" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Pallbearers were: Ray Reineck, Alfred Foemmel, Erwin Greeler, Forrest Gault, William Seelow and John F. Kelly.

 

Out of town people here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Rex Beach, Debbie and Mary Beach of Stillwater, Minn.; Neil Warren of Lynwood, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Harris of Grafton; Vernon Harris of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warren, Dorthia Bradley, and June Zellmer, all of Ripon; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Warren of Markesan; and Mrs. Walter Kranz of Oshkosh.
