MacCornack, Gladys (5 August 1899 - 3 September 1966)

Mrs. Robert L. MacCornack, 67, died September 3, at Miller Hospital in St. Paul, following a long illness. Her husband, a long time Whitehall physician, preceded her in death August 3 this year.

Mrs. MacCornack was the former Gladys Frye and was born in Merrillan August 5, 1899, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Frye. She was graduated from Merrillan High School in 1917. She married Dr. R. L. MacCornack on May 4, 1918, in Winona, and they had resided in Whitehall since 1920.

Mrs. MacCornack was a past-president of the Trempealeau County Republican Women, a charter member of the Whitehall Study and Music Clubs, and served as a Girl Scout Leader and adviser for 25 years. She was active in the Eastern Star, Tri-County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors are: a son, Dr. R. L. MacCornack, Jr., of St. Paul; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Forsythe of Edina, Minn., and Mrs. Alphonz (Irene) Lamprecht of Long Island, N. Y.; and 11 grandchildren.

Services were held September 5 in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. Clifford Ritland officiating. Burial was made in Lincoln Cemetery.
