Mrs. Louise Voth Dies Thursday Noon

Formerly Lived in Spencer, But Died at Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Anton Korntved in Unity.

 

Mrs. Louise Voth, aged 85 years, died last Thursday noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anton Korntved in Unity, where she had been living since last November.  She had been confined to her bed since February and death resulted from old age complications.  The body was taken to the Central Wisconsin Co-operative Funeral Home in Marshfield, and on Monday morning was taken to Trinity Lutheran church in Spencer, where services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, the Rev. A. C. Stapel; in charge of the services.

 

Mrs. Voth, the former Louise Mellenthin, was born in Germany July 3, 1856, and was married in Mayville to the late Chris Voth.  Before coming to live with her daughter in Unity Mrs. Voth had lived for a year in St. Paul and before that had made her home in Spencer.  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alvina Wagner of St. Paul, and Mrs. Charles Ewert and Mrs. Anton Korntved of Unity, and 22 grandchildren.  Eight children, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

 

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Alma Wagner and Mrs. Jack Wagner of St. Paul; Mrs. Maynard Gaucher of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Geo. Stroehauer of Marshfield.
