Scheuerman, Alice Kay (Marriage - 17 June 1967)

In a ceremony performed Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard, Miss Alice Kay Scheuerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Scheuerman of Rt. 2 Greenwood, became the bride of Edward J. Petkovsek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Petkovsek of Rt. 1 Willard. The Rev. William Nikolai performed the double ring ceremony, with nuptial music being furnished by the church choir.

For her wedding the bride wore a floor length gown of nylon over bridal taffeta, highlighted with Alencon lace appliqué. The fitted bodice featured a scalloped neckline and long, sheer sleeves. The semi-bouffant skirt was enhanced with a chapel train. A bouffant silk illusion veil was held by a crown of pearls. Her flowers were pink roses and stephanotis, entwined with ivy.

The bridal aides were Miss Delores Petkovsek of Waukegan, Ill., as maid-of-honor; and Mrs. Robert Scheuerman of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. William Petkovsek of Zion, Ill., as bridesmaids. They were seen in floor length formal gowns of copen blue silk organza over taffeta, fashioned with Empire silhouettes A-line skirts. Their headpieces were in the form of blossoms edged with tiny seed pearls and matching veils. Each carried an arrangement of pale pink carnations.

The groom’s attendants were William Petkovsek of Zion, Ill., as bestman; and Robert Scheuerman and Charles Bruske, both of Chicago, Ill., as groomsmen. Ushers were Richard Scheuerman of Greenwood and William Boh of Marshfield.

Norman Wayer, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer. Flower girl was Cindy Scheuerman, niece of the bride.

Wedding day events included a dinner, reception and dance in the West Side Hall in Willard.

The new Mrs. Petkovsek is a 1963 graduate of Greenwood High School and has been employed in a bank in Waukegan, Ill. The groom, a 1961 graduate of Greenwood High School, has been employed in Gurnee, Ill. On their return from a wedding trip into northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, they will reside at 428 So. Central Ave., Marshfield, where Mr. Petkovsek has employment.
