A record breaker winter weather and the New Year seemed to make no material change in the weatherman's plans.  Only adding a light fall of snow to make it look more wintery.

Lindsey's new and enterprising merchant, W.P. Opelt recently set up a big platform scales near his store.  This certainly fills a long felt need for persons hauling to Lindsey.

Mrs. Simpson and daughter Opel were passengers on last Fridays train for Grand Rapids.

Warren Robinson returned to his school at the county seat Friday of last week.

Mrs. Friedly who formerly lived north of town was visiting Lindsey friends since Wednesday of last week.

The Misses Maud and Ruth Mills returned to their home at Greenwood last Wednesday after a few days visit with Lindsey friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Palmer of Necedah spent several days in Lindsey visiting the latter's sister Mrs. Lovesee.

Mrs. P.J. Tilton is reported on the sick list for several days.  Miss Griffin is assisting with the house work.

New Years day was not so joyful for H.O. Hazel.  While drilling at Perry Stone's his coat sleeve got caught in the gearing of the engine and his right shoulder thrown out of joint.  Dr. Lovesee and Mr. Hazel's brother had all they could do to pull it in place again.  Harry says it was a very painful hurt.

Mrs. Nora Clymer returned to La Crosse Normal, having spent the holidays at home.  Her brother Leonard White went back with her for the purpose of having his ears treated for deafness.

Miss Nora Erickson was calling on friends in and near Lindsey Monday.

Mrs. Opelt made a trip to Lynn on Wednesday's train.

Dus Johnson came near having a serious accident.  In carrying an axe let it fall over his arm receiving a slight cut and blood poisoning set in, but succeeded in checking the poison and latest reports designates him on the road to recovery.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Keteile of Osakis, Minn., were visiting the family of the formers brother several days and returned Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Robinson Sundayed at the White home west of Lindsey and over the county line on Sunday.

Rev. Peckham was greeted with large and appreciative congregations at both services here Sunday and evening.  He went home Monday by way of the Lynn train.

The ladies aid will hold their meeting at the church this week and serve dinner.  The ladies seem never to grow weary in well doing.

Miss Helen Sager returned from her home at Stevens Point so as to resume her school Monday.

W.O. Crouch has been on the sick list since last week.

W.C. Washburn loaded a car with hay the fore part of the week.

Chris Paulson, H. Ham and P.J. Tilton shipped a car of cattle from Lindsey Wednesday.

W.L. Harnick the Lindsey blacksmith received a new blower Wednesday for his blacksmith equipment.
