Glasshof, Otto (9 MAR 1881 - 13 AUG 1962)

Otto Glasshof, 81, of the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Stanley Memorial Hospital on Monday, Aug. 13, 1962, where he had been a patient for some time with a lingering illness.

Mr. Glasshof was born in New Holstein, Wis. on March 9, 1881. He was united in marriage to the late Emma Soderberg on Oct. 4, 1902, at Thorp. Mr. Glasshof worked as a millwright in his younger days in Eau Claire, Escanaba, Mich., Marinette, Peshtigo and Menasha. He returned to Thorp with his wife and family in 1944 and settled on a farm in the townof Worden. Mrs. Glasshof died in December 1961.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald at home and Wilfred of Fond du Lac, Wis., one brother, Oscar Glasshof of Minneapolis; four sisters, Hattie Welch, Clara Broache, Pearl Paterson and Josephine Corrigan, all of Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral services were held from the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 15th, Rev. Roy Scott officiating and interment following in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pall bearers were Pat Soderberg, Kenneth and Gilbert Brown, Dean Hubbard, Roger Warner and Gerald Glasshof.
