Auto Accident (Lynn - 2012)

A Granton woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash on USH 10 east of Granton, on Sunday, August 5, at about 5:15 p.m. The head-on collision occurred near Catlin Avenue in the Township of Lynn.

The initial investigation indicates a westbound vehicle, driven by Diane c. Mitchell, 69, of Granton, crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a vehicle head on. Mitchell was killed instantly. A passenger in her vehicle, Donna R. Tichey, 69, of Black River Falls, received serious injury. Tichey was transported to Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Both passengers in the eastbound vehicle received incapacitation injuries. Ramona E. Griffith, 57, and Catherine E. Ruetten, 90, both of Marshfield, wee transported to Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The investigation is continuing by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department. The Granton Fire Department, Granton first Responders, Neillsville Ambulance, Spirit of Marshfield and Marshfield Fire and Rescue all assisted at the scene.

This is the fourth traffic fatality in Clark County in 2012.
