The home of Lewis Pettis was filled to the limit Saturday evening with friends of Miss Vida. Although the weather and roads were bad the yard was full of cars, some coming from Thompson Valley, Evergreen Valley, Mentor, Augusta and Humbird. Fortunes, new games, conundrums, etc., were heartily indulged in. Ivan Pettis carried off the prize for the most rapid work in catchy mathematics. E. Flick led in "calling down." J. Beck had everybody "going' in harmony with his magic wand. Vada L. Daniels (daughter of James and Adie) gave a vocal demonstration. E. Livermore did some stunts that were very interesting and far removed from the ordinary. Refreshments were served at midnight. All departed in a jolly mood.
