Brandt, Nyle (5 Apr 1934-31 Aug 2012)

Nyle F. Brandt, 78, Port Orange, Fla., formerly of Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 31, 2012. A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Greenwood City Cemetery. Rev. Rob Love will officiate.

Nyle Eddie Brandt was born on April 5, 1934, in Neillsville, the son of Oscar and Ione (nee Barrett. On March 28, 1953, he married Marie Younker. On December 26, 1998, he married Mary Lou (Stewart) Decker. He worked for Grassland Butter for 37 years. No man was ever a stranger to Nyle as he talked to everyone, and he always had a smile.

Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Brandt; and his three children, Lee Ann Hischer and her son, Ethan; Duane (Vandal Gay) Brandt and his daughters, Nichole and Elizabeth; and Brenda (Michael) Kolbeck, and their children, Benjamin and Bria. He is also survived by Mary Lou’s children, Donald (jill) Decker, and their children, Christina (Bryce Bailey), Hannah, Alegra, and Michael; Ronald Decker; Randy Decker; Linda Lou Marie (Ken) Rogers, and their sons, Dawson and Lee; Duane (Jodi) Decker, and their children, Stewart, Elisa (Jeremiah) Lenore, Lynelle, aqnd Jace; Kimberly (Kevin) Wilfert, and their sons, Ryan and Trenton; and Jennifer (Ryan) Lindner, and their children, Decker and Riley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Michael Hischer; two grandsons, Matthew Hischer and Brian Kolbeck; and a step-granddaughter, Angel Rogers.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
