Wednesday evening of this week was enjoyed by the community in listening to a lecture given by Miss Genevieve Dyer in the church concerning the Red Cross and experiences in Europe while working in the society.

Rev. Mallory preached Sunday evening.

John Kauth and son Herbert returned from the State Fair Monday, bring a niece with them. The trip was made successfully in their car.

Arthur and Ralph Short also returned the latter part of the week.

Chris Feutz returned from Richland Center Tuesday night, having taken in the fair and made numerous visits to Randolph, Columbus and other places.

Johnnie Schultz was taken seriously ill with appendicitis and was hurried off to Eau Claire where he had a successful operation for same. The last news concerning him was good.

Our school is progressing nicely since a week ago Monday with Miss Eva Counsell as teacher.

William Feutz is making an extended visit at his brother's, Chris Feutz.

Mrs. Ross Galbreath started Monday morning for a visit with her parents at Oconomowoc.

The Davis family is enjoying a visit with her brother, Mr. Lyman Smith and a niece and nephew from Viroqua.
