Feldbruegge, Celia Theresa (Heindl) (31 OCT 1916 - 27 OCT 2012)

Celia Theresa (Heindl) Feldbruegge, 95, of Colby formerly of Dorchester, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Colby Retirement Community, Colby.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Dan Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 30, from 4 to 8 PM at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester with a rosary service at 7:00pm. In addition, visitation will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 am. Burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jerome Heindl, Michael Heindl, James Feldbruegge, Kenneth Ellenbecker, Dennis Gonnering and James Suckow.

Celia was born October 31, 1916, in Clark County, Wisconsin to Martin and Theresa (Dessl) Heindl. She received her education at Saint Louis and Hilltop Schools. On October 6, 1937, she was united in marriage to Henry Feldbruegge at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. They then moved to a farm 1 3/4 miles southwest of Dorchester where they lived for 63 years before moving to the Village of Dorchester. Celia was a member of Saint Louis Parish, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Lady’s Altar Society.

She is lovingly survived by a son, Roger (Dee) Feldbruegge of Austell, Georgia, and a daughter, Kristine Seefeld of Unity, a daughter-in-law; Sandy Reichel of Oregon, WI, three grandchildren; Laura (Tomas) Ustanovska and Michelle and Nick Seefeld, one great-granddaughter; Maria Ustanovska, four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother; Clemence Heindl of Dorchester, and two sister-in-laws; Betty and Marge Heindl.

Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 2004, two daughters, Diane in 1942 and Joan in 1951, one son Donald in 2010, a son-in-law, Jeffrey Seefeld in 1997, her parents , four brothers; Lawrence, Evarist, Joseph, and Wilfred, and four sisters; Mathilda, Catherine, Sr. Bernette, and Gertrude.

She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, traveling, square dancing, eating at pancake breakfasts and church dinners, writing and receiving letters, winning at card games, gardening (she had a particularly green thumb when it came to African violets), praying the rosary, reading and embroidering in her last years.
