Kren, Kenneth Dale (9 June 1923 - 22 November 2012)

Kenneth D. Kren, 89, of Neillsville died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Kenneth Dale Kren was born June 9, 1923, in the Township of Levis, the son of Frank and Emma (Karger) Kren. Kenny farmed on the family farm his entire life. March 1, 1947, he was united in marriage to Lois P. Bemis in Decorah, IA. Together they farmed and raised their family. Kenny also worked for the Farmers union Co-op for 10 years. In 1987, they sold the farm to their son, Tom, and moved into Neillsville. Kenny still continued to help tom on the farm for many years until his health failed. Kenny also enjoyed roller skating, hunting and fishing. He served as an advisory member for FFA and a committee member for the FHA. He was also a member of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville and served as a trustee.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, Tim (Tammy) Kren of Osseo and tom (Diane) Kren of Neillsville; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Eleanor Raine of Neillsville and Irene Sager of Orville, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandy Reed; two brothers, Harold and Walter Kren; and a sister, Ann Strebing.

A Memorial Service for Kenneth will be held at 11 .m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.

Serving as honorary casketbearers will be his grandchildren, Chris Reed, Amy Cruz, Ryan Reed, David Reed, Jenny Moison, Melinda Kreuger, Kenny Kren, Jessica Hosely, Mike Kren, Matt Kren, Adam Kren and Alex Kren.
