Currier, Eliza (12 APR 1831 - 25 FEB 1915)

Eliza Currier was born to Phineas and Sophrina Currier at Skowhegan, Maine, on April 12, 1831, and died at the home of Mrs. J.W. Chandler on the north side on Feb. 25, 1915. She was one of a family of eleven children, having six brothers and four sisters. The brothers were Willis, John, Seth, Frances, Charles and George, and the sisters were Maude, Sophrina, Sarah and Ida. Of this family of children, but one survives their sister, that Mrs. Sarah Trogner of this city. Deceased also leaves a niece, Maude Crandall, of Oregon. Miss Currier was a thoroughly good woman and lived a life which had its better influence upon all with whom she came in contact. She was of a retiring disposition, but those who knew her well held her in the very highest esteem. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, services being conducted at the Presbyterian Church by Rev. Hendren of Greenwood. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
