Hewett (18 MAR 1915)

George Marden and family are moving on their farm here after a three years absence. We are more than glad to welcome them back.

Walter Amidon has sold his farm here to a man by the name of Stot from Ill., he moved on the farm Saturday. We are glad to welcome them among us, but also sorry to lose our old neighbor, Walter and wife, they will move to Melrose this week and keep house for their brother, George.

Mrs. Cora Wren has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Dave Wood, a few days.

The man from Montana that bought Frank Weisner’s farm moved on the place last week.

Henry Collins moved to Alma Center this week where he will work for Mr. Sullivan.

John Durst sawed wood for Lon Cook Tuesday.

Walter Imoberstig has gone to the south part of the state to work this summer, leaving his brother, Adolph, to do the farming.

School closed here Friday for a month’s vacation.

Jakie Bruni went to Winona Saturday where he expects to work this summer.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Bruni went to Granton Wednesday for a visit at the Frie home, they returned home Friday reporting a good time.

Will Lowell and Leonard Lloyd of Loyal were over night visitors at the Lon Cook home Tuesday night.

Richard Beulow has gone away to work.

Herman Schultz expects to move this week.
