Pflanzer, Sharon M. (6 JUL 1963)

Miss Sharon Marie Pflanzer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pflanzer, route 1, Colby, became the bride of Frank Archambo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo of Abbotsford, on Saturday, July 6, 1963, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford. The double ring exchanged of vows took place at 11 o'clock before the nuptial high mass, with Rev. Raymond B. Schulz officiating.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, appeared in a floor length gown of rosepoint over taffeta detailed with ruffles at the back. The fitted bodice had a jewel neckline. Her fingertip veil was secured with an open crown of pearls and aurora borealis. She carried a cascade bouquet of roses and feathered white carnations.

Mrs. Jack Reichersamer of Abbotsford, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor, Miss Carol Schraufnagel, a friend of the bride, Miss JoAnn Pflanzer, a sister of the bride, and Miss Mary Ramker, another friend, all of Colby, were the bridesmaids.

There were attired in street length formals of silk organza with round neckline and fully gathered skirts topped with lace jackets coming down to cummerbunds. They carried carnations in colonial bouquets centered with the color to match their dresses and surrounded by white. Their headpieces were open crowns with matching veils. Pink was chosen for the matron of honor and blue, orchid and green for the bridesmaids.

Three year old Lori Jean Pflanzer, a sister of the bride, was the miniature bride, dressed exactly like the bride, and carrying an identical miniature bouquet.

Tim Reichersamer of Abbotsford, a nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer and James Nikolay of Abbotsford, an uncle of the groom, was the best man.

Jerry Pflanzer of Colby, brother of the bride, Lyle Blair of Abbotsford and Arlyn Hanne of Colby, friends, were the groomsmen.

Mrs. Pflanzer chose a vari-colored lace dress and white accessories and Mrs. Archambo wore beige with green accessories. Both mothers had corsages of pink carnations.

Carnation corsages and boutonnieres were present to the godparents and grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Dahlke of Edgar, grandparents, as well as godparents of the bride, Mrs. Pflanzer of California, grandmother of the bride; Melvin Nikolay of Abbotsford and Mrs. Estelle Hess of Milwaukee, godparents of the groom, and Mrs. Anna Nikolay of Abbotsford, grandmother of the groom.

Following the ceremony, dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents and a reception was held at 2 o'clock at the village hall at Abbotsford. At 4:30, dinner for about 170 guests was served at St. Bernard's Catholic Church Hall, and in ....(the rest of my copy was cut off)
