Abbotsford Woman Starts $30,000 Suit
Chicago, Jan. 24 - Trial of a suit for $30,000 for the loss of an arm in a motor
bus accident in which Miss Anna C. Chris, of Abbotsford, Wis., is plaintiff, was
begun today.
Her arm was resting on a window sill of the coach which swerved suddenly to
avoid collision with an automobile. The lurch of the coach threw her arm outward
crushing it so badly between the bus and motor car that is was amputated at the
elbow.
Her wrist watch was found afterward in the other machine.
