Marriage vows were exchanged between Joel Marie Neuman and Daniel Gene Elmhorst Saturday, July 27, 1963 at 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger. The Rev. F.B. Netter performed the ceremony, during which Mrs. Duane Neuman sang "O Promise Me" and "Together Life's Pathway we Tread." Miss Bertha Keesel was organist.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Neuman, route 1, Unity, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Elmhorst, route 1, Neillsville.

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a floor length gown of nylon net and lace tulle designed with a fitted bodice and Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins. The bouffant skirt was fashioned of nylon net with tiers of lace tulle. A seed pearl crown held her French illusion veil detailed with lace appliques. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Attending as the honor couple were Miss Stella Hainzlsperger of Unity and Mike Kauffman of Chili. Others in the bridal party were Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Neuman of Chili, Miss Judith Elmhorst of Neillsville and Tom Elmhorst of Granton.

Larry Neuman of Unity and Mike Elmhorst performed the ushering duties.

The bride's attendants were all dressed alike in orchid silk organza frocks with matching headpieces. They carried bouquets of orchid and white carnations.

Mrs. Neuman wore a navy blue dress with white accessories to her daughter's wedding. Mrs. Elmhorst chose a turquoise dress with with pink accessories, and both mothers had corsages of red and white roses.

Festivities of the wedding day included a reception and dinner at Harry's Hall, Riplinger, and a dance in the evening at Sportsmen's Park, Colby.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Neuman left on a honeymoon trip to southern Wisconsin and are now at home at Unity. The groom is employed at Spencer Sports Products.

Guests at the wedding came from Illinois, Stevens, Mich., Minneapolis, Marshfield, Menomonie, Chili, Neillsville, Granton, Loyal, Owen, Unity, Greenwood, Colby and Abbotsford.
