Landgraf, Lester (10 May 1906 - 21 October 1967)

Funeral services for Lester Landgraf, 61, of Rt. 3 Neillsville, were held Monday afternoon from the Neillsville Methodist Church. The Rev. William Dushek officiate d. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Landgraf, who died Saturday at his home, was born here May 10, 1906. His parents were the late Leon and Edna (Gericke) Landgraf. He attended Neillsville schools and later was employed at the Condensery and the Kleckner elevator. His marriage to the former Leona Evans took place May 10, 1927, in Princeton. They purchased a farm in the Town of Weston. Due to ill health Mr. Landgraf retired from active work in April, 1967.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Pearl) Marhefke of Oshkosh and Mrs. Russell (Donna ) Seelow of Rt. 3 Neillsville; a brother, Glen Landgraf, address unknown; and two aunts, Mrs. William Weast and Mrs. Harriette Thompson of Neillsville; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: William Seelow, Alvin Wendt, Walter Aumann, Anton Meihack, William Lueck and Arthur Stiemke. “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” and “In the Gar den” were sung by Robert Mitte, accompanied by Mrs. Jas. A. Musil.

People from out of town here for the funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Marhefke and six children; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Knableck, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bahr, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Andraschke, Mrs. Fanney Andraschke and Mrs. C. H. Treichel, all of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Beckman, Sr., of Hatfield; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ebert, Carol Ebert, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Shaw and family, Mrs. Selma Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Felix DeGroat, all of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans of Minneapolis, Minn.; Lyle Evans of Green Bay; Mrs. Alfred Gadesky of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Griep, Virginia McCullaugh, Mr. and Mrs. John Ferger of Beloit; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Garbisch of Granton, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmler of Greenwood.
