Hauge, Mrs. Martin (1884 - 8 APR 1915)

The friends and neighbors of Mrs. Martin Hauge were shocked on Thursday to learn of the death of this estimable lady which occurred at the Marshfield Hospital. Deceased was born in Christiana, Norway, in 1884, and came to Neillsville 14 years ago. She was united in marriage to Martin Hauge on Dec. 1, 1902, and to this union three children were born, two of whom, two sons, survive with their father to mourn the loss of their mother. Mrs. Hauge was a lady of splendid character and high ideals and she lived a life at peace with friends and neighbors and as a result is universally mourned. She was a Royal Neighbor and this organization attended the funeral in a body. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Pinney in the Presbyterian Church and interment made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Peter Suchstead of North Dakota, a brother of Mrs. Hauge, was here for the funeral.
