As she carried a cascade of red roses and white carnations, Carol Jean Fensome of Minneapolis, Minnesota, approached the altar on the arm of her father to become the bride of Clair Allen Mrotek, also of that city. The couple repeated their marriage vows before her grandfather, Rev. W/ T. Fensome in the Loyal Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15.

Baskets 0f blue delphinium, red roses and white feverfew adorned the church for the wedding between the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fensome, route 2, Spencer and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mrotek of route 2 Owen. Julie Ann Vajgrt accompanied Lou Ann Doehr while she sang “Because” and “The Lord’s Prayer”

Mrs. John Mrotek came from Greenbelt, Maryland to be matron of honor and other aides were Mrs. Harland Pigott,the bride’s sister of Chili, Sherry Davidson and Doreen Auman, both of Milwaukee. They wore frocks of white silk organza over light blue and royal blue, copen blue, cotillion blue and royal blue taffeta, respectively. They were accented with taffeta bows and cummerbunds and the young ladies carried cresent shaped white feathered carnations centered with pink carnations. Their gowns and that of the bride were fashioned by the bride and her mother.

Miss Fensome’s gown was of silk organza over taffeta with lace medallions scattered on the skirt which was floor length. The bodice was styled with a v-neck on lace over taffeta trimmed with iridescent sequins and the fingertip veil was held by a crown of pearls and iridescent sequins.

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue with white accessories & the groom’s mother was seen in dusty rose with beige.

John Mrotek served as his brother as best man and groomsmen were Harland Pigott, George Brenner & Pat Mrotek, another brother of the groom from Owen. Guests were seated By Gene Major, the groom’s brother-in-law of Milwaukee and Duane Mrotek, the groom’s brother of Hayward.

Following the ceremony, the couple greeted their friends in the church dining hall. Both are graduates of Loyal High School and the groom has served four years with the US Air Force. He is presently employed at Standard Finance of St. Paul and the bride has employment with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Following a wedding trip to Canada, the newlyweds will make their home at 1800 Park Avenue South, Minneapolis.
