Erickson, Michael S. (09 APR 1984 - 26 DEC 2012)

Michael S. Erickson, 28, of Dorchester, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Mike was born on April 9, 1984, in Marshfield, the son of the late Scott Erickson and Dorothy (Dennis) Beckman, Colby. He was a graduate of Colby High School.

Mike was employed at Foremost Farms USA, in Milan. He enjoyed spending time with his brother, sister, nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Nyla.

He is survived by his mother and step-father; brother Seth (Miranda) Erickson, Athens; sister Stacie (Dan) Tanata, Medford; nephew Hunter and Isaac; nieces Mikhaila, Ava and Bryn; step-brother Denny (Eva) Beckman, Minneapolis, MN; step-sister Ann Marie (Mike) Von Bank, Prior Lake, MN; paternal grandparents Robert and Beverly Erickson, Dorchester; maternal grandmother Beatrice Helfert, Colby; uncles aunts and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Scott; brother, Mitchell; and grandfather, Nick Helfert.

A memorial will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Abbotsford, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Mike’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the compassion received from the entire staff at Marshfield Hospital Surgical I.C.U. Their thoughtfulness will not be forgotten.
