Solberg, Randy A. (16 JUN 1955 – 14 NOV 2020)

Randy Alan Solberg, 65, of Dorchester, passed away while in the care of Marshfield Medical Center on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, after contracting COVID-19.

Randy was born on June 16, 1955, to Roy and Joyce Solberg. He graduated Medford High School in 1972, married Linda Seidel in 1977 and had three children: Crystal, Jason and Michael. They later divorced. Randy worked at Marathon Cheese in Medford for many years before retiring in 2013.

Randy enjoyed shooting pool, hunting at his family’s land in Medford, watching the Packers and Brewers and tinkering in his garage. He will be remembered for his humor and lifelong search of the winning Powerball numbers.

Randy is survived by his children: Crystal (Dan) Angerhofer, Jason (Meghan) Solberg and Michael (Britney) Solberg; and his four grandchildren: Amelia, Nolan, Owen and Noah. Randy is further survived by his siblings: Ken (Rose) Solberg, Kathy (Dick) Retterath, Linda Fleming, Doug (Diane) Solberg, Bill (Pam) Solberg, Kim (Arnie) Hayden, Lori (Gary) Olson, Amy Custer, Eric (Angela) Solberg, David (Julie) Solberg and Kris (Joe) Detweiler; and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Joyce and his brother-in-law, Dan Fleming.

Randy’s family would like to thank the Abbotsford Nursing Home and Marshfield Medical Center for their care of Randy during his last days. Your tireless work and attention to patients was evident in Randy’s continued positive nature.

A small family gathering will be planned at a future date.
