Amundson, Kristine Ellen (28 March 1947 – 20 December 2020)

Kristine Ellen Amundson, age73, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday December 20, 2020, surrounded by her family and caregivers.

Kristine was born March 28, 1947 in Eau Claire to Russell and Amy (Krueger) Hageness. She was a high school graduate, who on September 21, 1963 married the love of her life, Larry Duane Amundson. Together they were blessed with five wonderful children, Duane, Eric, Carol, Connie and Jennifer.

Kris was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, reading, sewing and doing puzzle books. She spent endless hours tending to her flowers especially for her hummingbirds, and doing yardwork, or her needlepoints, all labors of love. She thoroughly enjoyed every one of her family gatherings and could never get enough time to spend with her grandchildren she so dearly loved.

Surviving Kristine are her husband of 57 years, Larry Amundson; her sons Duane Amundson and Eric (Cindy) Amundson; her daughters Carol (Aaron) Borreson, Connie (Luke) Rindal and Jennifer (Dale) Berger; her grandchildren Tammy (Mike) Knudtson, Curtis (Amber) Smith, Brad Pederson, Bryan Pederson, Warren (Destiny) Van Tossel, Zachary (Hannah) Berger, Aaron Berger, Tristan Berger, Calvin Berger and Isaac Berger as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Further surviving are her siblings David (Judy) Hageness Sr., Linda (Mike) Monson, Irene (Harold) Schiefelbein, Ruthie (Merv) Nordstrom and Norma (Mike) Klotz; her mother-in-law Edith Amundson; her sister-in law Jean Porter and brother-in-law Doc Amundson, together with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives now enjoying her company.
